Hamburg / St. Johannis-Harvestehude
The Evangelical-Lutheran St. Johannis Church on Turmweg in Hamburg-Harvestehude was built between 1880 and 1882 in Neo-Gothic style and has remained, for the most part, both architecturally and artistically original. The church is considered to be one of Hamburg’s most impressive late 19th century structures, and has also gained attention from outside the city. The soft lighting and stained-glass windows create a warm atmosphere inside the church for religious services as well as concerts.
