The opening of the Maritim Seehotel at the village of Timmendorfer Strand in 1969 was the foundation for success of the Maritim hotel chain. Located directly on the shores of the Baltic Sea with its beautiful beaches, the hotel offers 241 rooms, a hotel bar and restaurant, gym, spa and swimming pool. Numerous event spaces are also available for parties, conferences and concerts. With just over 2,000 square feet of floor space and an additional gallery, the ballroom is the largest of these rooms and accommodates approximately 1,000 music enthusiasts as the MainStage at JazzBaltica.
