Pronstorf / Kuhstall
Pronstorf
Kuhstall
Just 12 kilometres from Bad Segeberg lies the village of Pronstorf, which has just under 100 inhabitants. The aristocratic feudal estate from the 14th century characterises the village decisively. The large farmyard with its old gatehouse, cowshed and oat barn is surrounded almost exclusively by old houses belonging to the estate. The centrepiece of the estate is a manor house dating back to 1728, which is one of the most beautiful baroque buildings in northern Germany. The Count zu Rantzau family has lived here for over a century. The manor's old cowshed dating from 1845 is characterised by its spacious design and old roof beams and now offers a very special ambience following extensive conservation work.
