First acts for JazzBaltica 2025 are confirmed!
JazzBaltica will take place for the 34th time from 26 to 29 June 2025 and will once again offer a long weekend full of jazz right on the beach with big names and exciting newcomers. Before the full programme is published on 20 March 2025, the first names for the MainStage in the ballroom of the Maritim Seehotel Timmendorfer Strand have now been announced.
The first confirmed names include the Swedish saxophonist Jonas Wall, known from the Nils Landgren Funk Unit. With his project »Umbaji« he will present complex harmonies and driving beats. The widely acclaimed trumpeter Michel Schroeder will bring his Large Ensemble with him next summer, which breaks through the boundaries of traditional jazz with wind and brass instruments, strings, harp and a rhythm section. Ghanaian-born trumpeter Peter Somuah, whose cosmopolitan compositions combine jazz, funk and traditional Ghanaian music, will also perform at JazzBaltica 2025. Pianist and composer Shuteen Erdenebaatar, one of the most impressive up-and-coming artists on the German jazz scene, will be performing with her award-winning quartet. And »Les Égarés« – consisting of Vincent Segal (cello), Vincent Peirani (accordion), Émile Parisien (saxophone) and Ballaké Sissoko (West African harp kora) – combine French chansons, jazz, West African and Far Eastern folklore.
In summer 2025, visitors can once again stay next door to the festival's music stars at the Maritim Seehotel Timmendorfer Strand. An exclusive room contingent is now available online.
