Fabia Mantwill Orchestra

"Saxophonist, singer, composer and arranger Fabia Mantwill is someone who never stops. Always looking for something new, exciting, interesting, where she can use her musical talents. As founder and director of the Fabia Mantwill Orchestra, she can realize many of her musical ideas. But she also works with other orchestras. For example, with Becca Stevens as soloist and Vince Mendoza as conductor Fabia has composed music for the Metropole Orkest. The premiere of the orchestral work Sasa Indio Sasa took place in 2018 at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. She was also awarded Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead, a residency at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Last year she played in the JazzBaltica Allstar Band as well as with Katja Riemann in the ensemble of the Carnival of Animals. Now the time has come for Fabia and her orchestra to realise their own ideas at JazzBaltica. Welcome to Timmendorfer Strand! - Nils Landgren

Wolfgang Muthspiel Trio

"When I started touring in Germany in 1997, I quickly came across the name Wolfgang Muthspiel. And I was very impressed by his playing from the beginning. Since then I have followed his career with great interest. He lived in New York for a while and met many great musicians there, but he always kept his own style and personality when playing and over the years Wolfgang has become one of the most influential guitarists worldwide. In 2020 I finally have the chance to present Wolfgang at JazzBaltica, together with the already legendary drummer Jeff Ballard and the equally legendary Scott Colley on bass.
Now I can only say: Welcome to Timmendorfer Strand! - Nils Landgren
