Soulcrane was founded in 2015 by trumpeter Matthias Schwengler. The compositions reflect the individual backgrounds and experiences that each of the three musicians brings to the table and combine them to create a unique sound that draws on tradition and innovation. The collaboration with accordionist Laurent Derache adds a new facet and provides a new perspective on the accordion in jazz.
