A quartet formed from two established duos - that's Les Égarés. Their music is neither jazz nor traditional, neither classical nor avant-garde, but a bit of everything at the same time and establishes an independent poetic territory. Born out of spontaneous jamming together and inspired by the idea of listening to each other and acting in the moment, they decided to continue this model. Les Égarés - those who lost their way - were born and from then on formed a quartet that stands for genre experiments and transcending them. The roots of the music lie in the West African Mandinka culture, in the Orient both near and far, in the trance-like spiral structures of early Weather Report recordings and in the French musette neuve culture.
