‘Born in Hedemora, Sweden in 1978, Karl started playing the trumpet at an early age and is now one of the top trumpet players in Sweden, but he is also in demand internationally. He gave up his teaching position at the Stockholm Academy of Music to work as a freelance musician and soloist. With his quartet, Karl offers music of rousing swing and dynamics, coupled with melodic elegance and playing at the highest level. With the Karl Olandersson Quartet, the last concert at JazzBaltica 2025 will be a real treat.’
